eclipse - Why is my Derby database ping failing with a ClassNotFoundException? -


i have started derby database server ./asadmin start-database, when clicked on database connect, couldn't. when pinged it, failed.

has experienced error before , how have solved it?

i had same problem connecting ms sql server. found on site pointed me in right direction. go database connection edit driver details. go properties tab. in here make sure has right server name, database name, , user login , password. here site found -> http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/39959/
