Windows 8 Winrt Application goes to background or close -


how can tell when windows 8 metro app gets put in background? suspended state doesn't activate. have break point on. hits if close app.

i using webcam , since no apps can run in background need save work when it's put in background.

the windows phone application deactivated.

any nice.

apps not suspended when in debugger. however, can force suspend when debugging by:

  1. enabling debug location toolbar (red arrow in image below).
  2. then press suspend button (blue arrow).
