SSRS 2008 R2 Parameter dropdown conditional availability -


in ssrs sql server 2008 r2, possible have parameter in drop-down, multiple values allowed, unless specific value selected?

for example, parameter list have values a, b, c, d, , e.

the user can select combination of a, b, or c. but, if user selects d or e, no other values can selected. d or e can selected.

selecting values in parameter list doesn't trigger event, there no way dynamically control other values can selected. best solution control behavior once view report button clicked.

  1. add message explaining invalid selection.
  2. add visibility expression displays when applicable.
  3. add opposite visibility expression condition rectangle holds remainder of report.

this way friendly warning message when try view report invalid combinations.
