What version of hadoop to install and run? -

if make brand new installation of hadoop work with... still 0.23 today has features? or there better version out there has , captures features , performance? there many guides out there use 0.20... makes seem if 1.0 not trusted...

here guide have followed @ least 3 times install , run on single node , two-node clusters , michael pretty job of keeping current:

running hadoop on ubuntu linux (single-node cluster)

running hadoop on ubuntu linux (multi-node cluster)

this uses version hadoop version 1.0.3 released in may 2012; latest stable of writing 1.1.2, if want first install test , become familiar guide 1 above may familiarize system , upgrade latest-one once have reference point.

java Extracting Zip file -
