Multiple HTML files linked to only one Javascript file -


i want have functions in external javascript file linked each of html files. however, want functions linked 1 html file while other functions linked different html file. need have multiple javascript files or can condense them 1 file? when tried use 1 javascript file every function run on each of pages. there way call specific function in html without having whole code? css using #example id example in html.

i used link in index.html file:

<script type="text/javascript" src="example.js"></script>

while 1 in html file:

<script type="text/javascript" src="example2.js"></script>

these links javascript included in html files.

i'm not sure if additional examples of javascript or html code needed since seems general question. although, if more code require please tell me , gladly add it. i'm new coding if ask before downvoting appreciate it.

i think found problem. have rss feed comes through free website function doesn't have next it.

the problem don't know how call function. function have called because have onclick="example()" fine rss feed needs load automatically. don't want have click button feed appear.

functions run if call them. can have 1 js file contains functions never called 1 html file, , nothing goes wrong -- have no impact on functioning of page. downside of unused code is takes longer load, isn't significant until file gets big.
