autohotkey - How to ID a control with Windows Spy? -


newby here...i have first script running...yeah! i'd read window controls. see in ahk getcontrolpos , others:

can either classnn (the classname , instance number of control) or name/text of control, both of can determined via window spy.

duh, can't find info in windows spy. can point me in right direction...tia.

you have hover on controls mouse. in "under mouse" section see can gathered application. in quite few situations, not see more colour under mouse. when application has named controls, see classnn name/id.

in short, not programs have named controls.

you can test e.g. notepad , in notepad use file save. file save dialog has named controls.
