javascript - Is there a web-ready text to speech engine that will pronounce phrases inputted as phonetic spelling? -


i'm looking javascript library or other web solution output sound based on phonetic pronunciation provide.

i have looked @ speak.js sort of gets there, rather accept phonetic spelling applies own rules on how words.

what i'm looking way verbalize athlete names. athletes on world, in cases same spelling can result in 2 different pronunciations.

for example:

if have name steven andrade, have phonetic spelling of on-draw-day, speak.js can handle this, though don't think accent right, such as:

juan acevedo => oss-uh-vay-doe gets mangled o-s-s-uh-vay-doe.
