pivot - Correlations/Data Mining in Microsoft Excel 2003 -


i have excel spreadsheet each column variable. @ end of columns have special last column called "type" can a, b, c, or d.

each row data point different variables ends in "type" bucket (a/b/c/d) recorded in last column.

i need way examine entries of type (say, "c" or "c"|"d") , find out of variable(s) predictor of last column, , better predictors others.

some variables numbers, others fixed strings (from set of strings), it's not number/number correlation.

is excel 2003 tool that, or there better statistical programs make easier? create pivot/histogram each category, or there better way run these queries? thanks

you can make filtering, clean data (i mean, change data values 1 type, string or numeral) using microsoft excel. execl makes data mining. however, kind of problems have, tool recommend weka. using tool, can make associative classification prediction (i.e., class association rule mining)of data instances(rows) , therefore, can determine items fall belong a/b/c/d. special attribute class attribute.
