linux - Android 4.2 introduced SELinux enabled by default on kernel -

  1. as have understood correctly, android 4.2 introduced selinux enabled default on kernel. right? there anyway disable it?

there of apps might not work correctly.

ex. use mount command system wide stopped working

  1. is there anyway disable ? check on vzw galaxy nexus - build jdq39 - not sure linux version - either selinux or linux.

  2. what benefit of using selinux vs linux on android device.

regards,

to correct selinux enabled in 4.4 specific process: "in android 4.3, selinux permissive. in android 4.4, selinux made enforcing domains several root processes: installd, netd, vold , zygote. other processes, including other services , apps, remain in permissive mode allow further evaluation , prevent failures in android 4.4. still, errant application trigger action in root process not allowed, thereby causing process or application crash."
