joomla - Error changes folder permissions -


in using jomsocial 2.8.4 , joomla 2.5.9 tried uploading image feed using "multifunction" status box. crashed site. after investigating turns out root folder /public_html/ permissions changed 777 when error looped , changed permissions 755 security set in cpanel, threw 500 error..once fixing permission issue site online status trying upload picture displays.

the error error log before crashes is:

warning: invalid argument supplied foreach() in /home/gamer/public_html/components/com_community/libraries/photos.php on line 11

any fixes this?

ok change image uploading .png see if not loading because of extention, next how big image. can cause upload errors, check make exec times set higher 8mb 32mb can change in php.ini

also can uninstall jomsocial , reinstall check jomsocial settings in backend under media make sure set need.
